Founder
Steve Johnson
Steve started the database, frustrated at working in safety roles, but struggling to access the lessons from inquiries. Currently in a safety and assurance role in the MoD, with affiliations with Cranfield, Exeter and Rome (Tor Vergata) universities.

ICPEM
Founded in 2009 from the merger of two historic institutes, ICPEM is the oldest learned society focused on disaster science. They support the running costs of the site, provide analysis and help communicate lessons through their network.
